- Rate Details: $60-70/hr

- Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid, 3 days in office minimum

- Schedule: 830am to 5pm EST - Monday to Friday
What are the major objectives of the role?
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of pending litigation actions; prepare and draft pleadings and responses to discovery demands served on or by the Company.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Handle extensive document production and coordinate the preparation of information in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain case files and matters
- Coordinate with and advise management personnel in providing documents response to discovery requests.
- Analyze documents and catalog exhibits.
- Perform legal research and cite check briefs.
- Prepare all required legal documents including issuing daily/weekly reports
- Monitor cases and handle other tasks related to litigation and other law areas
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
- Initiate / maintain legal holds (via software) Knowledge of court deadlines, review of CPLR and other court/procedural rules related to deadlines and submission requirements, and calendaring deadlines
- Maintain electronic document repositories and document review platforms/software
What are the MUST HAVE Professional or Technical skills for this position?
- Strong background in drafting discovery responses, discovery demands and various types of motions
- Must have New York Insurance Defense Litigation experience and well-versed in New York Practice
- Good faith letter writing
- Court Experience
- Handle Reporting and PSE
- Adobe (Word processing, edit and prepare documents, adobe redactions)
- Microsoft Office
- Preparing documents
- Handle e-filing of documents on PACER, NYCEF and other state or federal agencies
- Drafting Motions and Affirmations
What are the NICE TO HAVE skills for this position:
- Case Works Program or related system (will train if not already exposed)
