Our client is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our 1st shift production team at our Statesville, NC facility. This role supports high-volume automated manufacturing operations and requires hands-on involvement with machinery, material handling, and team-based production goals.

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting automated production equipment to meet daily output and quality targets. This position requires the ability to stay actively engaged with the machine throughout the shift, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and work closely with teammates to maintain efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Operate automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment producing 1,000 or more parts per shift
Monitor machine performance and product quality during operation
Troubleshoot basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and sensor-related issues and make adjustments as needed.
Use hand tools to perform minor adjustments, setups, and basic repairs.
Follow all safety protocols, including strict adherence to lock-out tag-out procedures.
Read and follow work instructions, operating procedures, and safety documentation.
Accurately complete production paperwork, quality checks, and basic computer entries. Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products as required.
Work collaboratively with teammates assigned to the same machine or production line. Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machine
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments utilizing automated machinery
Background in high-volume production settings
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to machine issues
Working knowledge of hand tools
Basic understanding of sensors and how hydraulics and pneumatic air systems function in machinery
Ability to operate a computer at a basic level
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures
Physically capable of moving continuously around and inside machinery during the shift. Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift experience
Prior experience working as part of a team operating the same machine or production cell
Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse manufacturing environment with no central heating or air conditioning. Employees must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and remaining on their feet for extended periods.
