Personal Lines Manager (Insurance)
Position Summary
The Personal Lines Manager plays a key leadership role within the agency by supporting the planning, organization, staffing, sales, and service functions of the Personal Lines department. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality customer service, maintaining service standards, coaching staff, and supporting the achievement of departmental sales and operational goals. The Personal Lines Manager works closely with leadership to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $65,990 – $80,838 annually

- Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing feedback to Personal Lines representatives to support sales growth and service excellence
- Audit workflows to ensure compliance with agency procedures, service standards, and best practices
- Support the promotion and implementation of worksite payroll deduction programs
- Assist in achieving or exceeding individual and departmental sales objectives
- Implement and enforce agency policies and procedures
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by improving and monitoring service delivery processes
- Drive agency efficiency through process evaluation and improvement initiatives
- Serve as an escalation point for complex client service issues, providing expert guidance and solutions
- Provide technical insurance expertise and support to Personal Lines staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor training programs for Personal Lines team members
- Assist the Vice President with employee performance reviews and development planning
- Support the development and execution of departmental business plans and action plans
- Promote full and effective utilization of the agency automation system (Applied Epic)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, market trends, carrier information, and agency technology
- Travel to branch locations as needed for training, meetings, and operational support
- Represent the agency at community or industry events during and outside normal business hours
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of insurance management experience
- Strong working knowledge of insurance operations and the Applied Epic Management System
- Active New York State Insurance Agent and Broker license (required)
- Eligible for bonding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and professionally
