Opportunity
As the chief management leader, you will report directly to the Board of Directors and oversee program administration, spearhead fundraising initiatives, and drive the development and execution of our strategic vision. You will foster strong collaboration with our university partner, build community partnerships, and lead outreach efforts to broaden our impact across Central Florida.

In partnership with a university-based center for autism and developmental disabilities, we deliver vital services to the ASD community throughout Central Florida. Our current programming includes:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Development, Fundraising and Event Management
- Partner with the Board of Directors and staff to create, implement, and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute signature annual fundraising events and secure sponsorships.
- Lead staff and volunteers in designing and implementing targeted fundraising campaigns.
- Identify and pursue new funding sources including grants, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic activities.
Operational Leadership and Administration
- Act as the primary representative and public ambassador for the organization.
- Direct daily operations to ensure efficient delivery of processes, programs, and services.
- Partner with administrative staff to create, monitor, and manage organizational budgets.
- Provide strategic leadership and supervision to staff and volunteers.
- Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.
- Manage the organization's digital presence.
Board Partnership and Governance
- Foster and maintain productive working relationships with the Board of Directors.
- Establish systems and processes for information sharing with the Board.
- Provide consistent updates to the Board of Directors and deliver progress reports.
Strategic Vision, Communications and Community Leadership
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
- Guide the execution and alignment of organizational activities with strategic priorities.
- Oversee communications and actively engage the community and stakeholders.
- Champion the organization's mission by promoting its work to expand visibility and grow support.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; graduate degree preferred.
Leadership and Management Experience
- Demonstrated success leading a nonprofit or human services organization.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and executive leadership.
- Experience in staff management, volunteer coordination, and Board partnership.
Fundraising and Development Skills
- Strong capability in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
- Experience with grant proposal development and donor cultivation.
- Established connections within the community and with potential funding partners.
Program Development and Implementation
- Understanding of evidence-based approaches in autism services and developmental support.
- Capability to guide program creation, implementation, and assessment.
- Track record of growing or expanding programs in response to community demand.
Financial Management
- Experience with budget oversight and financial management.
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to drive funding acquisition and ensure long-term financial health.
Community Engagement and Advocacy
- Exceptional communication abilities and cultural awareness.
- Background working with families, caregivers, and community organizations.
- Experience advocating for disability rights or autism-related causes.
Knowledge of Regulatory & Legal Compliance
- Understanding of nonprofit governance, federal/state regulations, and compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to develop relationships with stakeholders, funders, and community leaders.
Innovative and Strategic Thinking
- Ability to articulate and pursue long-term organizational vision.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- Experience serving diverse populations.

Work Location and Expectations
This is a full-time exempt salaried position based in the Orlando, Florida area. The role requires flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments including monthly virtual Board meetings.
Salary and Benefits
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with an anticipated range of $100,000-$115,000. We prioritize the health, wellness, and work-life balance of our team. The comprehensive benefits package includes:
