Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and support equipment

Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools

Maintain and repair automation systems, robotics, conveyors, presses, and molding equipment as applicable

Install, align, and set up new or modified equipment

Support production changeovers and equipment startups

Perform basic PLC troubleshooting (preferred)

Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements

Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks

Communicate equipment issues, downtime, and repair status with supervisors and production teams
Skills & Qualifications
-
Previous Maintenance Technician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings

Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
-
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
Pay Rate
$18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
