Description :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations. This role ensures minimal downtime and supports continuous improvement in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and support equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Maintain and repair automation, robotics, conveyors, presses, and molding equipment as applicable
- Install, align, and set up new or modified equipment
- Support production changeovers and equipment startups
- Perform basic PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, safety, and PPE requirements always
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and PMs
- Communicate equipment issues and downtime with supervisors and production teams
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
Payrate:
$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr depending on experience
