Job Summary
Perform a variety of metal forming, punching, and notching operations using press brake equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. Work under general supervision and follow established processes to meet quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Set up press brake equipment using process sheets or setup instructions.
- Perform forming, punching, and notching operations according to specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, clamps, and dies to achieve required tolerances.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools and make necessary adjustments.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and document results as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with prototype or new item forming.
- Move materials and tooling using appropriate equipment (e.g., hand truck or forklift).
- Collaborate with team members and maintain accurate paperwork (quality checks, move tickets, etc.).
- Clean and organize work area, tools, and equipment daily.
- Perform minor maintenance and preventive tasks on press brake equipment.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned to support production needs.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and other manual tasks.
- Basic understanding of precision measurement and mechanical adjustments.
