B CREW – Yard Porter

Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 6:45PM – 4:45AM
Pay Rate: $17.85 per hour
Company: Nesco Resource is sourcing for our automotive finishing client in Sterling Heights, MI.

Brief Description of Position

The Yard Porter is responsible for supporting yard operations including receiving, staging, and labeling vehicles. Duties include inventory updates, damage reporting, handling mis-shipped vehicles, and maintaining yard flow. Compliance with OSHA and Health & Safety procedures is required.

Job Tasks

• Receive, label, and stage vehicles according to requirements.

• Report incoming damage to the Yard Lead.

• Flag and stage mis-shipped vehicles as instructed.

• Maintain chronological (FIFO) staging order.

• Communicate yard flow issues or concerns to the Yard Lead.

• Keep the yard clean, organized, and efficient.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Computer skills preferred; will train.

• Ability to work safely in a high-pace environment.

• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.

• Must comply with Company safety policies and wear PPE.

Working Conditions

Automotive manufacturing yard, night shift exposure to weather, equipment, and vehicles.
