A CREW – Yard Porter
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:45AM – 4:45PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Company: Nesco Resource is sourcing for our automotive finishing client in Sterling Heights, MI.
Brief Description of Position
The Yard Porter assists with receiving, staging, and labeling vehicles per customer and internal requirements. Responsibilities include updating inventory, reporting damage, managing mis-shipped vehicles, and supporting overall yard flow. This position must adhere to company policies, OSHA regulations, and Health & Safety procedures.
Job Tasks

Receive, label, and properly stage all vehicles per requirements.

Report incoming vehicle damage to the Yard Lead.

Flag and stage mis-shipped vehicles per instructions.

Stage vehicles using the FIFO process.

Communicate process issues or concerns to the Yard Lead.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Basic computer skills preferred; training available.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Valid U.S. Driver's License required.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Must follow all Company, OSHA, and PPE requirements.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing/yard environment, exposure to weather, chemicals, vehicles, and equipment.
