QC Analytical Chemist
Position Purpose:
The QC Analytical Chemist ensures compliance with FDA (DSHEA), cGMP, and customer requirements while supporting daily operations of the Quality Control Laboratory. This role focuses on developing, validating, and performing analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. The chemist also assists in training analysts, maintaining laboratory accuracy, and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, validate, and document analytical methods (USP, AOAC, NSF, etc.) following cGMP and GLP.

Perform and oversee testing of raw materials, stability samples, and finished goods using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques (HPLC, UV, etc.).

Write and update SOPs, validation protocols, and analytical reports.

Train and mentor lab analysts on analytical methods and best practices.

Maintain accurate records, review test results, and compile final documentation.

Coordinate outside lab testing when required and manage lab supplies and purchasing efficiently.

Conduct investigations and report non-conformances to the QC Lab Supervisor or Quality Operations Manager.

Ensure the lab remains clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:

BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent lab experience).

10 years in analytical or QC laboratory work with advanced HPLC experience.

Proficient in MS Office and Empower software.

Strong understanding of method validation, GLP, and cGMP.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Knowledge of solubility, emulsions, and formulation testing.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
