This role is based in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, supporting precision measurement and quality assurance for aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
US Citizenship required (due to contractual requirements)


Key Responsibilities

Setup and Calibration
Set up and calibrate CMM systems according to measurement requirements
Adjust parameters and tooling for accurate readings

Inspection and Measurement
Operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections
Record and analyze measurement data; document results
Investigate discrepancies between measured data and specifications

Quality Assurance
Conduct routine checks and inspections
Collaborate with QA teams to identify defect trends and corrective actions
Prepare and maintain inspection reports

Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

Collaboration and Communication
Work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
Communicate inspection results and quality standards effectively


Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
Experience:

Minimum 5 years operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and engineering drawings a plus

Skills:
Proficient in CMM programming and measurement software
Strong math and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team

Other Requirements:
Understanding of quality control methodologies
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
Certification in quality control or CMM operation is a plus

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
