What You'll Do
Be the Trusted Advisor
- Serve as the go-to resource for machinists, engineers, and purchasing teams across your territory
- Build lasting relationships through clear communication and technical credibility
- Analyze customer processes and recommend optimized tooling solutions
- Drive measurable improvements in cycle time, tool life, and cost-per-part
- Leverage your CNC background to speak the language of the shop floor
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business on your terms
- Set your own daily schedule and travel plans
- Control pricing and margins—recommend the absolute best tool for every job
- Keep 100% of vending machine revenue (a service we offer to add value)
- Lean on our lightning-fast inside team to turn quotes around faster than anyone in the market
- Hit and exceed targets through consultative selling and long-term account development
- Build toward Regional Sales Manager role with team-building and override opportunities
Must Have:
- Hands-on CNC machining experience (setup, programming, or process improvement)
- Ability to read blueprints, understand tolerances, and select cutting tools for specific applications (milling, turning, drilling, etc.)
- Strong communication skills—equally comfortable on the shop floor and in the front office
- Self-motivated with proven ability to manage your time and priorities independently
- 3 years in technical sales or applications engineering within cutting tools, tooling systems, or precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with major cutting tool brands (Walter, Iscar, Sandvik, Kennametal, etc.)
