Job Title: Packaging Operator
Location: Rochester, NY
Summary: We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator (Lv. 1) to join our client's growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing hands-on packaging tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. You will play a key role in meeting production goals by preparing and verifying orders, constructing packaging materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with full-time hours, steady day shift, and excellent potential for growth. Shift
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay
- $15.75 an Hour
Core Duties & Responsibilities

Match product part numbers and descriptions to work orders to verify accuracy.

Validate correct item counts per customer specifications.

Place products into containers or boxes, insert packaging material (as needed), seal, and label.

Inspect packaging for compliance with company and carrier standards.

Construct shipping boxes based on customer instructions.

Maintain a clean and organized packaging area.
General Responsibilities

Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.

Meet individual productivity and quality benchmarks.

Maintain 5S and clean workstation standards.

Report material issues, equipment concerns, or hazards to supervisors.

Perform other duties as assigned by operations leadership.
Qualifications:
-
Must be 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.

1 year experience in warehouse and/or packaging environment preferred.

Able to follow work orders, safety documents, and instructions.

Strong attention to detail and intermediate problem-solving skills.

Capable of lifting up to 25lbs regularly
-
Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional airborne particles.

Moderate noise levels typical of a warehouse/packaging environment.

Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual material handling.
