General Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipment used to blend, mix, package, and transport liquid or dry chemicals used in customer products. This role ensures the highest product quality and cost efficiency while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with *** Corporation policies and procedures.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up, start, and operate all machinery, ensuring adherence to operating procedures, safety standards, and ISO requirements.

  • Weigh and measure ingredients per recipe specifications; load materials into machinery or verify correct pre-blended materials are delivered.

  • Monitor equipment and production processes to ensure safe, efficient operation; troubleshoot equipment and processing issues as needed.

  • Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge, and handle materials according to established procedures.

  • Inspect materials visually and/or physically to verify conformity with quality standards.

  • Collect material samples and deliver to the lab for evaluation; follow instructions for batch adjustments when required.

  • Report production issues to the Production Lead or Supervisor.

  • Perform required machine cleaning and sanitation.

  • Complete and maintain required system inputs, transactions, logs, and reports; ensure accuracy and data integrity.

  • Participate in training, retraining, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Follow all safety rules, work regulations, and maintain housekeeping standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands, and communicate.

  • Occasionally required to sit.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 lbs; occasionally handle up to 250 lbs.

  • Vision requirements may include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include: safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, dust mask, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, and aprons.
