The ERP Application Consultant provides analysis of a customer's business requirements and objectives and works with them to meet those objectives. They identify, develop and integrate ERP solution to meet predefined requirements interacting with clients, sales and technical consultants. Primary Responsibilities: Analysis of a customers business requirements and objectives and work with them to meet those objectives Implement and configure ERP applications and modules Analyze client business processes and collect all relevant data for implementation. On-site and/or remote implementation of web-based ERP application. Train end users in specific modules of ERP application. Prepare project documentations associated with implementation such as manuals, customer query data, issue logs and their resolution. Application configuration, implementation and data conversion Assist customers with application testing and rollout Recommend business process improvements to the customer Analyze and specify application enhancements with the customer Work with the customer and other internal organizations to quickly resolve issues impeding implementation or go live
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Define and execute the solutions outlined in the enterprise applications roadmap aligned with institutional priorities and capability models.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency and student success.
- Preparing and submitting status reports as requested by manager and unit.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a skilled team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate internal and remote resources to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Project & Portfolio Management
- Oversee ERP and enterprise application projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain and update tasks associated with the university project plan to ensure accurate reporting out to key stakeholders
- Implement governance frameworks for prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, develop process flows and procedure manuals.
- Partner with academic and administrative leaders to translate institutional needs into technology solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage ERP environments (production and test), upgrades, patches, and compliance requirements.
- Manage the university Data Warehouse and connections to university date sources.
- Lead integration efforts, ensuring alignment with SaaS strategies and business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and technology adoption.
- Proven experience in enterprise application strategy and ERP management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and higher education trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with capability modelling and institutional planning.
- Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and other higher education enterprise platforms.
Understanding and experience in consulting implementation methodologies Significant experience in ERP implementation or consulting
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing, maintaining and supporting Ellucian Products and systems for Higher Education (college/university) clients; and gaining and keeping client trust.
- Experience working with a broad range of higher education administrators including vice presidents, deans, directors, faculty, and students.
- Project planning and execution experience required.
- Knowledge of higher education core business processes are required.
- High degree of creativity with a "can-do attitude; display high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to set and change priorities amongst multiple competing constituencies, projects and resources.
- Strong team building and excellent interpersonal skill
