Temporary Accounting Clerk – Accounts Payable
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Employer: Nesco Resource (onsite at our client, a leading tech product manufacturer)
Hourly pay: $28/HR.We are urgently seeking an Accounting Clerk with strong Accounts Payable experience to support a fast-paced tech manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on accounting exposure, work with a collaborative team, and jump right into meaningful work during a busy year-end period.
Key Responsibilities
• Enter vendor invoices and bills into the accounting system
• Assist with vouchering and AP processing
• Support weekly check runs
• Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Provide general accounting office assistance as needed
• Participate in year-end physical inventory (the week of Dec. 29 – Jan. 2 is mandatory, except Jan. 1)
Qualifications
• 1.5 years of accounting exposure, preferably with a focus on Accounts Payable
• Degree in accounting or related field is desired but not required
• Experience with SAP is a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong Excel proficiency
• High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to work onsite full-time in Hauppauge
