About the Role
Seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Crew Leaders to join our team. Crew Leaders will travel nationally and work under the supervision of our Project Management Team, typically leading teams of 4 to 6 members. The role offers significant overtime opportunities, with teams typically working 1,000 overtime hours per year. Industry-leading per diem rates are provided for travel-related work.
- Work schedule: 60-70 hour work weeks, 3-4 weeks on the road followed by one week off.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC equipment in commercial buildings, including electrical disconnect & re-connect, controls/EMS/life safety systems wiring, gas piping and connections, condensate drain connections, unit removal, adapter curb installation, and setting new units with a crane.
- Manage the project field team and record all personnel timekeeping.
- Read blueprints and implement installations from site drawings.
- Ensure jobsite safety and compliance for the entire team.
- Enforce OSHA construction safety guidelines on project sites.
- Attain certification from the company in operating equipment such as Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), Telehandler Forklift, Crane Rigger/Signal Person, and OSHA-10 Certification.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and office personnel.
- Use mobile devices for communication and information transfer with office teams.
- Oversee project sites in various outdoor elements.
- Understand construction workflow and sheet metal/duct installation.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements, including rooftop units and adapter curbs.
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems and construction safety.
- Ability to acquire necessary licenses for work in certain states (Journeyman licensing).
- Willingness to work overtime and travel 100% of the time.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation
This is an hourly non-exempt role with a starting pay range that varies based on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees are eligible for overtime pay when working more than 40 hours per week.
