- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of spraying experience.
- Strong desire to learn on the job
- Ability to read detailed instructions/blueprints and understand assembly drawings and bill of materials is a plus.
- Must have basic English language proficiency to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
- Deadline driven and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read a tape measure and operate simple power and manual hand tools.
- Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Be able to perform all positions on the line including hanging/unhanging parts, masking, part dry off, spraying, packing.
- Learn to operate and maintain the paint line
- Aid in the movement of component parts / materials to the production area, and of finished parts to next operation.
- Read blueprints and bill of materials to ensure proper parts are being produced.
- Scan into and out of work orders correctly and record accurate count of welded assemblies.
- Aid in other departments as needed by supervisor.
- • Performed metal preparation including washing, degreasing, and surface treatment to ensure proper powder adhesion. • Accurately plugged and masked threads, holes, and sensitive surfaces to meet customer specifications. • Operated spray guns and applied powder coating to metal parts, ensuring even coverage, correct film thickness, and high-quality finishes. • Maintained efficiency on the assembly line by prepping, hanging, and removing parts for coating and curing. • Inspected and cleaned finished parts after curing, ensuring quality finishes and defect-free surfaces. • Conducted routine maintenance and cleaning on powder coating booths, ovens, and related equipment. • Assisted with warehouse duties and packaging, including wrapping, boxing, and preparing coated parts for shipping. • Supported overall production by keeping the line organized, safe, and operating smoothly.
