SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Program Manager will play a critical role in leading and executing strategic supply chain and materials management initiatives across 8–10 manufacturing plants within our Industrial Components division. The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for driving cross-functional project teams globally, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering measurable improvements in supply chain performance.
The Supply Chain Program Manager will possess strong project management expertise, a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Supply Chain Program Manager will lead root cause analyses, manage project scope and schedules, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. This high-impact role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain and materials management projects with 8–10 manufacturing plants across the Industrial Components division
- Responsible for assembling project teams globally, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
- Perform 5-why and root cause analysis through formal problem solving with corrective actions
- Clearly identify the project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team and communicate with all impacted shareholders
- Identify changes to the project scope, balance project constraints and communicate to leadership the impact to budget and schedule
- Recognize when problems, technical or otherwise, are developing in a way that threatens the budget or schedule and take corrective actions to mitigate the problem
- Represent the project team at project meetings and executive report outs, responding to questions, identifying action items and following up as needed
- Prepare detailed project plans, action plans, estimates, schedules and forecasts as well as communicate project status
- Track status, compliance with schedule, responsibility, budget, risks and issues on each project
- Other related duties as assigned
Critical Competencies
- Highly developed planning and organizational skills within a project management process
- Ability to manage cross functional remote teams that reside in multiple regions
- Experience in cross functional, multiple location projects
- Experience with formal problem-solving tools such as 5-why and pareto analysis
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience managing projects in supply chain, materials management, procurement, operational improvement, or related fields
Preferred Experience and Certifications
- ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification
- PMP certification
- Oracle and/or SAP experience
- Data analytical experience
Travel: Some travel required (approximately 20%) which includes international travel
