Shift 1st - 6 am to 2:30 pm
Coordinates the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Organizes warehousing for goods. Reviews inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied. Plans and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs. Acts as liaison between customers, freight carriers and shipping department. Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers, by investigating and resolving detention issues. Assists is cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting most cost-efficient method of shipment within Department of Defense guidelines. Entry level: Typically 0 - 3 years experience.
Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of equipment to vendors. Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverable.
- Administratively receive equipment from vendors and coordinate with leads to process back into our system.
- Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective support to the customer.
- Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.
- Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract.
- Coordinates and conducts pick up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management.
- Follows established standard work instructions ensuring quality throughout the processes.
-Creates shippers in the SAP system, coordinate with shipping departments to ensure process completion.
-Maintains related records.
- Packages equipment for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork is attached appropriately and billing the appropriate accounts.
- Contacts vendors by mail, email, or phone to coordinate RMA/RFQ's, expected completion, tracking of shipments. Update system to reflect most current status.
- Proficient in General Computer use.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
