Maintenance Manager
Overview
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance, building and grounds, electrical, and fabrication operations across a three-shift production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and electrical systems, with proven leadership in team development. Skilled in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls, and possess broad knowledge of factory infrastructure, including plumbing, fabrication, and electrical distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assign tasks to Mechanics, Electricians, Janitors, and Fabricators.
- Manage inventory of critical spare parts and ensure timely preventive maintenance activities, including database documentation.
- Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements through continuous improvement programs and performance metric analysis.
- Lead team development through evaluations, training recommendations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Enforce plant safety policies and recommend additional training to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Facilitate strong communication across departments to improve responsiveness and implement operational changes.
- Keep ownership informed of key issues, concerns, and achievements.
- Participate in weekly plant meetings and remain on-call for after-hours issues.
- Interpret technical documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Analyze measurements, costs, and bids with accuracy and sound judgment.
- Solve routine and complex problems using common sense and adaptability.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting to 60 lbs., climbing, and operating in varied factory/shop and office environments.
- Work in indoor conditions with varying temperatures, depending on seasonal changes and location within the facility.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent-College degree a plus
- Five years' Maintenance or Management experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
