Job Description:
-Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm. 30 minute paid lunch. Occasional OT, may include some weekends.
-Campus has 40 cabinets spread across several building. Will go to each cabinet to check inventory.
-Will scan any items under min and order quantity needed to bring the quantity to max.
-Will use iPad with scanner or cell phone app to scan items in cabinets.
-Will use sit down forklift. Experience required.
-Will use golf cart to deliver items to different areas of the complex. Will leave building, but will remain on campus.
-Will lift up to 50# unassisted.
-This position can be very fast paced and can require a lot of back and forth, lifting, and walking, and carrying items a short distance.
-May assist in crib at times to issue parts and materials.
-May assist with shipping and receiving.
-Will assist with cycle counting.
-Customer service skills required.
-Computer skills needed. Basic Microsoft suite and ability to pick up systems easily.
-Close toe shoes required. Shorts ok.
-Site is temp controlled.

Position Summary:

The Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator II is an individual contributor that delivers and sets up inventory at customer's designated sites. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Checks goods distribution against purchase orders or invoices, Responsible for transporting company cargo to customers. Conducts inventory task in accordance with local VMI processes. Follows proper guidelines for use of all equipment. Ensures equipment is clean, safe. Reports concerns to management team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Works to ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
Assist the VMI customer space/placement, sets up the appropriate area to receive shipment of material, stocks the product in the customer's designated area.
Follows the customer order through from pick-up at Vallen's warehouse/DC to delivery and set up at customer site.
Takes customer spot buy orders when needed and relays the information to the Inside Sales or AR.
Recommends changes to the customer inventory levels based on usage.
Ensures that bar code labels are up to date and legible for scanners to read or prints out the appropriate bar code labels as needed.
Scans barcodes at customer site to generate customer orders.
Maintains awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity and reports observations back to managements.
Assist in the inventory (cycle) counts on consigned customer sites.
Presents information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and managers.
5S all VMI and Vending Point of Use areas.
Perform VMI functions at vending point of use areas: loading, receiving and minor repairs or changes, including mandatory communication with direct supervisor and the sales team.
Performs other duties as requested.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant warehouse, inventory (cycle) counting or delivery, experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
Relevant experience should include:
Willingness to learn and work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.
Possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.
Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, co-workers and management
Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Knowledge of company products preferred.
Ability to represent Vallen in a professional manner projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

May be required to wear various forms of protective equipment (shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.).
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand and may include little to no advanced notice.
Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.
May be required to lift and carry up to 75 pounds; must have the ability to handle physical inventory that requires hand dexterity.
May work in extreme hot or cold environments; various facilities may have dusty conditions.
