Roles and responsibilities are defined and assigned to those involved in the different Manufacturing Excellence Work Processes.
4. Set up, operate, adjust, and clean all equipment required to produce Dyneema products in accordance to work instructions and standard operating procedures. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining quality product. Take samples and determines properties of the produced intermediate and finished products. Prepares samples for offline quality checks. Supply and maintain inventory of components, supplies as needed. Correct process conditions with given limits, to maintain desired quality. Performs minor preventative maintenance.
5. Abides by ***procedures/policies regarding security, inclusive of: employee security agreements; use of non-disclosure agreements with outside parties; control of*** intellectual property limited to a "need to know" only basis; no unauthorized use of cell phones, cameras, computers, or *** property; reporting security threats and incidents; proper control of *** property and keys.
6. Performs in-process quality checks as required. Demonstrates a commitment to quality by ensuring all product documentation is accurate and complete.
7. Responsible for compliance with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, recipes, SOP's and other related documentation and activities. Ensures company guidelines related to company policies relating to quality, safety, housekeeping, and cost effectiveness are met.
8. Maintain records of the used raw materials and the produced products in the appropriate computer system. Enters data about components, intermediate and finished products into the tracing and tracking system. Maintain accurate production related records.
9. Move raw, intermediate and finished products. Utilize standard material handling equipment. Operate pallet jack and overhead crane.
10. Utilize good judgment in making critical decisions on product quality, equipment functionality, safety, and other related activities.
11. Identifies problems related to equipment, work orders, log books, set-ups and other related activities and recommends ways to solve. Makes suggestions regarding product quality, safety precautions, and work improvements. Inform lead of any problems that may impair the quality of the Dyneema product, packaging components, work efficiency and/or safety.
12. Participates in near miss investigation, setting up RCA and JSA.
13. Participates in SHE, Quality or other special task teams.
14. Maintain all trainings in TS and TX.
15. Performs other duties asassigned.
This position may involve work with(supervision of) and/or handling hazardous materials and waste at the ***Mesa site. Worker has the appropriate qualifications to read, understand,apply, and communicate written and verbal information regarding handling andmanaging hazardous wastes. Worker may be responsible for proper handling,documentation, inspection and transporting around the facility of hazardouswastes. Worker may also be responsible for responding to emergencies involvinghazardous waste.
Employee must be able to makedecisions, based on data and facts, to keep process equipment running withinthe given recipes/specifications.
Employee has the knowledge andskills to operate all equipment at level 1.
Manual dexterity with manualoperations has significant influence on quality of the product and output ofthe processes.
Knowledge and education level:
High school diploma or equivalentand at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in atextile or composites production environment and/or equivalent militarytechnical experience or training.
Required level of experiences:
- Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
- Knowledge of change overs/cleaning/set-up, work instructions
- Ability to perform mathematical computation; problem solving.
- Problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Organize, schedule and follow-up on activiites.

- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Basic computer skills (Word and Access)
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes.

- Mechanical skills & knowledge including equipment assembly.
- Ability to identify problems and utilize good decision-making skills to resolve issues.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to constantly produce quality products at established production rates.
- Attention to detail, alertness, skill in detecting defects and identify machine or process problems or improvements.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read gauges, dials, meters and set controllers; ability to coordinate hand-arm manipulation.
