Maintenance Technician
1st Shift
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS TO BE PERFORMED:
The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment, machinery and facilities including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Examples of specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
Plan repair work using blueprints, equipment manuals, or schematics as needed.
Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
May repair drywall, paint, and repair doors and other building fixtures.
Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities.
Order supplies and materials needed for repairs.
Other tasks as directed by supervisors and/or managers.
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Electrical background with 3-phase and 2-phase systems
Experience with electric and hydraulic transfers/rollers
Experience with VFD systems on overhead cranes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
