Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Farmington, NY
Summary: We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our precision machining team in Farmington, NY! This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role where you’ll work with advanced equipment—lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines—to produce high-quality components in both metal and non-metal materials. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Core Duties & Responsibilities

Operate a variety of production machines to meet daily manufacturing targets.

Follow detailed instructions—written and verbal—to produce precision parts.

Inspect finished parts for quality and document results accurately.

Track material usage and log time spent per job.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and return tools to proper storage.

Perform basic machine maintenance and minor repairs with hand tools.

Set appropriate speeds, feeds, and tools for tight-tolerance machining.

Report any product issues, machine malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.

Adhere to safety procedures and wear all required PPE.

Assist with other duties to support team success.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: 1–2 years of machine operation experience preferred, or a mix of schooling and hands-on training.

Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, instructions, and technical documentation.

Strong math skills and measurement accuracy.

Practical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to humidity, fumes, dust, and industrial chemicals.

Work near moving machinery and vibration-producing tools.

Loud manufacturing floor environment.

Requires standing, reaching, and manual dexterity throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs.

Occasional climbing, kneeling, bending, and balancing as part of tasks.
