We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer-Technician to join our client’s team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting existing equipment and assembly projects, including installation, debugging, testing, training, and documentation. JOB SUMMARY
The Service Engineer-Technician will support existing equipment and assembly projects as needed. This will include Installation, build, debug, on-site support, remote support, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and documentation. This position also includes Service support for: Training, Service/Warranty Triage, retrofit, and change support,
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Travel to customer sites for evaluation, installation, debug, and support.
- Work with the project team on the existing project to do the following:
- Understand the project requirements
- Support the mechanical build and debug of the equipment
- Debug existing code, add, change or modify the controls system software.
- Design additions and/or changes to the electrical and mechanical system.
- Debug and commission the equipment.
- Support acceptance of the equipment at PMD and customer site
- Review and understand electrical and pneumatic controls designs utilizing AutoCad Electrical for drawing changes as needed.
- Troubleshoot the interconnections of peripheral hardware, such as but not limited to; servo motors, Vision, Robots, leak test systems, LVDT's, data collection systems and possible industrial network communications.
- Work as needed on the wiring and plumbing of equipment.
- Work as needed on the mechanical equipment.
- Write modifications to the control system software.
- Refine Human to Machine Interface (HMI) programs and integrate with the controls system.
- Adhere to established controls standards and procedures.
- Observe safety procedures.
