Job Title: Forklift Operator

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-perm position, where your skills in material handling and logistics will play a vital role in maintaining seamless production operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting materials, optimizing inventory flow, and upholding a well-organized workspace. Shift:

  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
  • 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Friday

Pay:

  • $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning supply and material needs by reviewing production schedules and scheduling deliveries to production areas.
  • Retrieving supplies and materials by interpreting specifications, locating items, verifying quantities, securing pallets, and delivering to designated locations.
  • Maintaining inventory in production areas by monitoring usage and tracking stock levels.
  • Monitoring inventory discrepancies and reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Clearing production areas by moving finished pallets and empty pallets to designated locations.
  • Documenting material movements by logging actions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring foot traffic, adhering to safety protocols, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeping forklifts operational by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and scheduling repairs as necessary.
  • Participating in training and development to stay current with best practices and operational techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Strong skills in safety management and adherence to regulations.
  • Dependability and initiative to ensure continuous support for production operations.
  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a dynamic work environment.
  • Attention to detail with skills in documentation, data entry, and inventory control.
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities to manage inventory flow effectively.
