Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm M-Fr
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour
Primary Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Inspector shall be responsible for 100% inspection of all Production Equipment and production circuit boards identifying all defects such as incorrect component orientation, cold solder, solder shorts plus any other defect. During periods when demand for inspection of SMT circuit boards is not required, this individual shall support inspection of other production items such as circuit boards and final products including amplifiers, alarm systems, communications equipment.
Required Qualifications:
• Soldering experience with certification to J-Standard IPC.001
• Ability to identify all defects on circuit boards such as incorrect component orientation, cold solder and solder shorts
• Ability to read drawings and identify polarity on surface mount components
• Ability to explain issues to engineering and production personnel
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Proven experience in Quality Control Inspection of Electro-Mechanical Assemblies
• The candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft office products including word, outlook, and excel.
• The candidate should be willing to train and teach fellow employees
• The candidate should have excellent organizational skills
• Associates degree in Electronics is a plus
• Surface mount repair is a plus
• The candidate should be willing to convey and enforce company policies, setting an example for employees.
