What You'll Do:
- Lead and Innovate: Take charge of designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of projects, including scope and budget development, technical proposal sections, and interview presentations. You'll also handle client communications, contract negotiations, and ensure the successful delivery of projects to our clients' satisfaction.
- Technical Excellence: Perform and manage technical tasks such as analysis, reporting, design, and specification while reviewing design-related calculations, reports, plans, and specifications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers. You’ll be responsible for recruitment, retention, and succession planning, ensuring your team’s success and growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to address any design-related concerns, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Business Development: Be an integral part of our business development efforts by building and maintaining strong client relationships and participating in strategic pursuits.
- Team Growth: Contribute to the growth of our structures group by recruiting, hiring, and developing new talent.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a minimum of 4 years in successful management of engineering projects.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.
- Leadership & Mentorship: A strong desire to mentor young staff and lead project teams.
- Credentials: Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Industry Reputation: A strong reputation and established client relationships in the transportation market.
