Maintenance Personnel - General
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Maintain maintenance on all equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to read, write, and have basic understanding of math.
- Ability to safely operator tow motor. (Additional training required).
- Ability to lift between 10 – 50 pounds.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Periodic Inventory counts as required.
- Any other duties commensurate with this job description as requested by supervisor.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Education and Experience:
*Knowledge- Previous experience required.
*Skill- Ability to read and write, basic understanding of math. Physically able to perform physical labor.
*Ability- Learn within a fast paced environment, work with other employees in a cooperative manner, handle repetitive job duties.
*Education-Formal education is not required, but preferred.
*Experience- Required.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
All maintenance equipment.
Working Environment:
Worker is subject to extreme heat (seasonally) temperature nearly 100 degrees. Workers are subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Physical Activities:
Stooping: Constantly. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Constantly y. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Constantly. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Constantly. For sustained periods of time.
Walking: Frequently. Not for long distances, but within work area, to retrieve work materials.
Pulling: Constantly. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Constantly. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
Fingering: Constantly. Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with the fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping: Constantly. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Constantly. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Repetitive Motions: Constantly. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, head and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, an/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
