Job Title: Staff Accountant (Direct Placement)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients accounting team in Meriden, CT. The role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Process journal entries.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail
