The Assembly Team Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment, product segregation, quality inspection, disposition and documentation along with manual product assembly as required. Perform basic preventive maintenance, changeover and troubleshooting on equipment; ensure compliance with SOP s and specifications; perform data collection and product dispositioning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform start up and ongoing equipment and product inspections as required per applicable documentation.
Segregate and disposition product based on equipment and product inspections.
Conduct shop floor data collection tasks.
Perform manual assembly and product rework tasks as required.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformances relating to product and processes. Write nonconformances and holds when required.
Scan product into MRP system; perform testing using computer; create traceability labels.
Initiate and recommend or provide solutions to quality or safety concerns through designated communication channels.
Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices, including FDA regulations, GMP and ISO requirements.
Assist with the training of new Operators.
Perform chemical mixing operation.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Work Environment
Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists and upper body.
Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.

Good Verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge/use of computers.
Adequate fine motor hand coordination required.
Sound judgment for use in product disposition.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED required.
Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.
