Well-established corporation in the Capital Region is looking for a talented engineering professional to join its Quality team. Due to continued growth this industry leader is in search of a Quality Engineer to help support its daily operations and long-term projects. Some of the general responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Lead and participate in quality improvement projects for products and processes.
- Facilitate training related to quality and develop training material as required.
- Develop work procedures to improve quality goals and eliminate waste for the site
- Maintain the Quality Management System and all quality records
- Assist operations and engineering with defining appropriate manufacturing processes & procedures
- Review and analyze CMM layout reports and recommend changes as required.
- Plan and perform internal process audits.
Ideal candidate profile should include:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- 2 years of engineering experience with significant exposure to quality
- Experience implementing lean improvements (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc)
- ISO9001 compliance and audit experience preferred
- Excellent communicative and organizational skills
