Maintenance Technician

 

Location: South Tucson
Terms: Temp to Hire (3 months)
Pay: DOE
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical field. Able to work overtime and be on call status.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to production needs that would ensure reliability, availability and safety of production equipment
  • Repair and maintain injection molding equipment and related auxiliary equipment
  • Carry out plan for required and preventive maintenance repairs and service
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor with new equipment modifications and projects
  • Would need to be available to work weekends, holidays and on call basis

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • Preventive maintenance of injection molding equipment
  • Schedule regular P.M. requirements
  • Perform actual P.M. duties
  • Record data electronically or manually
  • Have the ability to analyze data to determine possible trouble areas
  • Repair machines and auxiliary equipment (i.e., oil leaks, adjustments, calibrations, etc).
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and supplies required for P.M. program and daily operation
  • Assist in the development of an ongoing improvement plan for maintaining equipment (P.M. program)
  • Awareness and compliance to ISO 14000 requirements per company policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor (i.e. cleaning machines, screw and barrel maintenance, building maintenance etc.)
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • Mechanically inclined, self motivated
  • Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge, preferably in an injection molding environment.
  • PLC basic knowledge (programming a plus)
  • Some computer skills
  • Can work with minimal supervision, dependable
  • Orientation training

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial mechanical or electrical field
  • Self-starter/ self motivated and able to work with a minimum amount of direct supervision
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints (Hydraulic and Electrical)
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Working knowledge of robotic automation and hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Must have a safety conscience work ethic
  • Able to work overtime and be on call status
