Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graphic Designer and Print Specialist to join our client's team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the printing operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, and mentor others providing guidance, and training feedback, when needed.
- Oversee all aspects of the print process, including printing, finishing, and quality control.
- Collaborate with, design and pre-press teams, to ensure accurate and optimal file preparation for printing.
- Ensure optimal performance and technical issues that may arise.
- Manage production schedules, prioritize jobs, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct regular quality checks throughout the printing process to ensure consistent and accurate color reproduction and overall print quality.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards to meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging print technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the print department.
- Maintain accurate production records, track inventory levels of printing supplies, and manage reorder processes as needed.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and open communication within the print department.
Job Qualifications:
- A.S. Degree or formal training in printing technology, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a print technician with a strong understanding of various printing techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in RIP software and printing processes, desired.
- Solid knowledge of color management, print file preparation, and preflight procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively, helpful.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
