Job Description: Warehouse Technician

Position Summary: Embark on an exciting Temp-to-Perm opportunity in the renewable energy sector with endless growth potential with Plug Power, a rapidly growing company specializing in the development of hydrogen fuel cell systems that replace conventional batteries in equipment and vehicles powered by electricity. As a Warehouse Technician, you'll play a crucial role in being responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials and products within our warehouse facility. This role involves a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders
  • Unload, unpack, and inspect merchandise for damage or defects
  • Safely and accurately store items in designated warehouse locations
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements
  • Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize warehouse processes and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality standards

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Schedule:

  • Shift 1, Monday to Thursday, 4x10 schedule
  • Hours: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay Rate:
  • $18 an Hour (Based on Experience, Interview, Etc.)
