We are looking for a quality inspector to perform in-process and final inspection of components at one of our critical suppliers located in Eagle Wisconsin. The Contractor will work onsite at the supplier in Eagle Wisconsin to perform the inspections.
Inspector will work closely with the supplier team to understand schedule for parts and coordinate inspection schedule accordingly. Inspector will perform in process inspections at each manufacturing step and batch release for parts that are in production to assure finished parts meet specifications. Additionally, inspector will participate in kitting process to verify kit contents, material traceability, and all other records completed accurately.
-Ability to interpret complicated 2D part drawings for complex assemblies and determine if the part is fabricated to the drawing.
-Knowledge and understanding of measurement methodologies and techniques
-Ability to work under limited to no supervision by management.
-Exceptional communication skills and professionalism as this individual is a representative of *** at our supplier site.
-Independently perform inspections visually and by using a variety of hand tools, micrometers, calipers, etc. to assure adherence to established quality standards.
-Ability to identify product problems and work with the supplier to resolve issues with little to no supervision.
-Maintain inspection records for review.
-Associate degree in engineering or related field; 6 years experience with inspection of complex fabricated parts, or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
-Basic computer skills including MS Windows and Office.
-Attention to detail
-U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
