Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain General Ledger Accounts: Work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and assist in month-end close activities.

Perform Cost Variance Analysis: Dive into our financial data to identify trends, analyze cost variations, and provide valuable insights to drive decision-making.

Manage Spending "Checkbook": Take ownership of monitoring expenses, verifying invoice validity, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Accounts Payable Ownership: Oversee the accounts payable process, collaborating with our centralized AP team to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.

Continuous Improvement Advocate: Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Standard Cost Maintenance: Conduct audits of bills of material and routers to maintain accurate standard costs.

Support Budget and Forecast Preparation: Assist the Controller in preparing annual budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.

Account Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Assist with Intercompany Balances: Collaborate with the Controller to reconcile intercompany balances and ensure proper accounting treatment.

Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company policies, SOX, and GAAP guidelines to maintain regulatory compliance.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

Associates / Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; or equivalent work experience.

Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication abilities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership, and dedication to responsibilities.

Experience with ERP systems like QAD preferred but not required.

Eagerness to advance - this role is designed to pave the way to Assistant Controller for the right candidate.
