As a Metal Stamping/Machine Operator, you'll play a pivotal role in our production process, operating and maintaining metal stamping machines to deliver top-quality metal parts as per specifications. Responsibilities:
- Operate metal stamping machines to produce parts in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
- Set up machines by installing dies, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper alignment of materials.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or defects in the production process.
- Perform regular quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular cleaning of machines and workstations.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve any issues that arise.
- Complete production reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating metal stamping machines or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to undergo training on specific machines and processes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery.
- Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational training or certification in machining or related field.
- Prior experience in metal fabrication or stamping industry.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Shift:
- 1. Day Shift - 7 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon. - Thurs.; 7 AM - 11 AM, Fri.
- 2. Night Shift - 8-10 Hour Shifts (Flexible Scheduling)
Pay:
- $18 - $20 an Hour (Flexible, Based on Experience)
