Summary:

  • Must understand all safety policies and procedures
  • Use required safety equipment
  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all equipment
  • Report all violations of safety policies material requisition, and inventory control.
  • The position will have responsibility for the maintenance of facility and equipment
  • Suggest safety improvements on their assigned shift.
  • The proper execution of their job ensures that the production can function in the most productive manner.
  • Keep safety guarding in place


DUTIES

  • Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards such as debris and spilled fluids
  • Emergency, preventative, and predictive maintenance on any machine or system in facility
  • Report all unsafe conditions to Maintenance Lead
  • Provide maintenance support for all manufacturing activities
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of all equipment Quality
  • Provide activities that reduce and ultimately eliminate equipment downtime
  • Must understand all quality policies and procedures
  • Create a daily/weekly report based on your/company schedule then report it to manager by weekly Identify and report quality concerns to Production Manager
  • Provide support for production when emergencies arise
  • Participate in identifying countermeasures for quality concern items Work closely with vendors and suppliers for component and equipment needs at the best cost
  • Report all unusual or questionable quality conditions to Maintenance Lead Engage in predictive planning of maintenance activities so unnecessary downtime is avoided
  • Recommend quality improvements to Maintenance Lead Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) Cost
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area
  • Record all tool life data Support those elements with the scope of the maintenance department as they support, communicate, and impact
  • Use tools as instructed by Engineering Significant amounts of overtime and weekend work required
  • Report unusual tool life or tooling conditions to Maintenance Lead Maintain and control all maintenance equipment
  • Suggest improvements to Maintenance Lead Regardless a department, respect a request from other managers
  • Suggest cost improvements
  • Other duties as assigned Perform TPM and maintain machine conditions


Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Required Delivery 2 years experience in industrial, facility, and/or machine maintenance
  • Record accurately production quantities and downtime 3 years maintenance experience of heavy equipment required
  • Report problems or concerns to Team Leader ASAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Maintain production flow as directed by Team Leader Strong problem solving skills
  • Requires the ability to utilize tools, follow directions, maintain tempo, recognize quality, exhibit team work, and work safety.
  • Management Basic understanding of PLC's and schematics
  • Responsible for personal time management to best optimize production.
  • Strong welding skills (MIG, TIG & Stick)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision Environment Comply with Plant Environmental Policies.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic experience required 1-3 years with Hot-Forge Press process preferred


Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Character of duties involve the coordination of manual dexterity and normal mental and visual attention.
  • Activities: Seeing, sitting, talking, walking, lifting (up to thirty pounds), standing, carrying, stooping
