Commercial Glass Installer (Glazier)
Monday-Friday, OT as needed
• Accurately measure and assess the dimensions of the installation area.
• Provide cost estimates for materials and labor required for each project.
• Cut glass to specified dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Shape and finish glass edges as needed.
• Install glass components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Secure glass in place using various methods, such as glazing compounds, putty, or rubber gaskets.
• Ensure that installations meet safety regulations and building codes.
• Apply sealants and weatherproofing materials to prevent water leaks and air infiltration.
• Insulate glass installations for energy efficiency.
• Work closely with other construction professionals, including architects and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of glass installations into overall building plans.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
• Communicate with clients to understand their specific requirements.
• Address any concerns or issues during and after the installation process.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Glazier.
• Knowledge of different types of glass and glazing materials.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
• Comfortable working in Florida climate.
