A local well established manufacturer is looking for experienced machine operators to add to their team. Openings available on all shifts!
General labor in a metal forming environment, including: operating production machinery, moving material, using hand tools and various power tools, performing general building/machine 5S maintenance, using a computer to log in and out of jobs and read and follow instructions, using various measuring instruments and all other duties deemed necessary by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain on-time attendance and return to work station promptly after breaks
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment:
o Operate production machines
o Produce an acceptable quality part
o Use and accurately read drawings, instructions, gages and all applicable measuring devices
o Handle and lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
o Effectively use the shop floor data collection system
o Follow daily work schedule
o Handle and move material manually and using a forklift
o Work to production standards
o Participate in continuous improvement program
• Participate in continuing training
• Practice safety at all times and report any unsafe problems on the production floor
• Maintain a quarterly review rating of 6 or above, striving for 10
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with supervision to learn machine adjustments to maintain product quality
• Participate in any advanced training offered by the company
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Skills and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Pay: $16.50 to $19.00 per hour or Dependent on Experience.
Shifts:
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
2 nd shift 3:30 PM 1:30 AM (4 10 hour shifts)
3 rd shift Sunday 7 PM Monday 7 AM (12 hour shift)
Tuesday Thursday 1 AM 7 AM (6 hour-each day)
Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours.
