Job Title: Machinist
2nd and 3rd shift available


Job Summary:
As a Machinist, you will be a crucial part of our manufacturing team, responsible for setting up and operating various machines to create precision parts and components. Your role will be essential in maintaining quality standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our machining processes.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare machines for operation, including selecting the appropriate tools, materials, and machining sequences.
- Operate machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, to produce parts to specified tolerances and dimensions.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine the machining process and specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine machine maintenance and tool changes.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production and meet project deadlines.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous machining experience, including the operation of various machining tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation (if applicable).
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and address issues with machining processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to work in a safe and responsible manner.
