JOB STATEMENT:
Assist the financial operations of the business by recording and monitoring transactions and processes related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review general ledger accounts, prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Participate in monthly closing of Janus business unit(s) as needed for task management and reconciliation completion as assigned.
- Prepare various account analyses and respond to information requests as needed or assigned.
- Assist with budget and forecasting process, as assigned, or required.
- Participate in annual audit process (external and Bank), as assigned.
- Participate in quarterly and annual SEC filings, as assigned.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures along with recommending needed changes or improvements to the current process.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to a general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- Must be highly skilled in the use of Excel Spreadsheets.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting is required.
