Nesco is currently seeking to immediately fill a full-time position for a Fabrication/Hardware Assistant in Gahanna. Pay Rate: $18/hr. - $20/hr. (based on experience)
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday- Thursday 3:15 pm - 1:45 pm
BASE SUPPORT POSITION WITH GROWTH POTENTIAL:
- Supports various departments on the shop floor including but not limited to Fabrication, Hardware insertion, Shipping/Packaging, Powder (prep)
- OTJ cross-training provided
- May also train in the Assembly of Metal Cabinetry and ancillary products for Power, Telecommunication and Technology industries.
- Will train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.
Skills sets; either to be learned on the job or previous experience helpful:
- Ability to read/learn to read and accurately interpret prints.
- Previous knowledge, experience interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.
- Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.
- Ability to learn Hardware insertion.
- Operate Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.
- Mechanically inclined and able to use a variety of power and hand tools.
- Ability to lift to up 75 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs)
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during the course of an 8- or 10-hour shift.
- Attention to detail and fine tactical ability.
- Ability to follow and retain instructions.
Organizational skills. - Pallet jack and/or forklift experience is helpful.
- Reliable/dependable attendance record.
Ability to take direction; working as a part of a team as well as independently. - Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
PREFERRED:
Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
Job Shop experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent
