Our client, a leader in manufacturing equipment and parts for pharmaceutical environments, is seeking a Senior Accountant/Junior Controller for their Rockaway, NJ facility. Job Description:
General Accounting & Controlling:
· Utilize SAP Accounting System: Be at the forefront of financial operations, utilizing the SAP accounting system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
· Support CFO: Assist the CFO with monthly reporting needs, contributing to strategic decision-making.
· Maintain Financial Accuracy: Reconcile general ledger accounts, post monthly journal entries, and oversee fixed asset purchases and depreciation within SAP.
· Timely Reporting: Prepare monthly close reports for accurate and timely reporting.
· Manage Cash Flow: Monitor cash receipts, reconcile accounts receivable postings, and supervise the dunning process out of SAP for efficient AR collection.
· Vendor Management: Post vendor invoices and issue payments on a bi-weekly basis.
· Sales Accounting: Generate all capital equipment invoices in SAP and ensure proper posting of capital equipment sales orders.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
· Education & Experience: An accounting degree from a four-year college or university, coupled with five or more years of related experience.
· Self-Starter Mentality: Drive and initiative to excel with little to no supervision.
· ERP Expertise: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, in daily business operations.
· Software Proficiency: Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and Database software.
· Team Player: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, contribute to a positive team spirit, and support team goals and objectives.
