General Job Description:
As a Welder , you will collaborate closely with our Welding Group Leader or Supervisor to fabricate and weld components to exacting standards. Working from customer drawings and travelers, you will ensure the production of high-quality products at optimal cost, meeting departmental performance benchmarks, customer specifications, and delivery schedules. A Class A Welder is proficient in all aspects of welding, capable of handling diverse projects, and excels in interpreting blueprints and weld symbols with precision.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Solid understanding gained through relevant education or prior work experience
- Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing 25-50 pounds regularly
- Attainment of a satisfactory score on our in-house welding test
- Proficiency in setting up weld machines and executing quality welds for both Mig and Tig processes
- Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Familiarity with the metric system is preferred
- Competence in accurately measuring and laying out locations for welded components
- Capability to adjust weld parameters to accommodate varying steel thicknesses
- Proficient operation of tools including grinder, drill, band saw, and torch
- Diligent completion and maintenance of all required documentation and records
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring departmental cleanliness standards are maintained

Specific Duties:
1. Utilize MIG and/or TIG welding techniques to join components according to blueprints and Traveler
2. Maintain regular standing, hand usage, and ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch as necessary
3. Possess specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
4. Work at an efficient pace while upholding quality standards to ensure timely project completion
5. Verify part numbers prior to assembly, promptly notifying supervisors of any shortages
6. Adhere to prescribed protective clothing and equipment requirements, ensuring safety at all times

Protective Clothing/Equipment Requirement:
- Personal welding helmet and safety shoes are mandatory
- Additional equipment includes safety glasses, welding helmet, grinding shield, hearing protection, and gloves
- Attire should be tight-fitting without tears, ensuring optimal safety during work activities
