Nesco Resource is hiring Busway Fittings Assemblers this is a Monday-Friday 1st shift role from 7:00am -3:00pm.
Position Summary: Join our dynamic team as an Assembler 1, where you'll play a crucial role in manufacturing and assembling various mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in cutting-edge electrical distribution systems. Your attention to detail and precision will shine as you bring these essential components to life.
Essential Functions:
- Interpret shop drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Utilize Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify component parts and assembly sequences.
- Execute electrical connections according to specifications.
- Assemble parts and fasten assemblies with hand and power tools.
- Perform modifications such as drilling, tapping, countersinking using machine tools and hand tools.
- Align and adjust parts for precise fit and assembly.
- Employ measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy.
- Apply labels and identification markings to parts.
- Adhere to company policies and values, including SECRIT principles.
Additional Duties:
- Cross-train in various functional departments within the plant.
- Fulfill other tasks as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in tool selection, ensuring the right tools and equipment are used for the job.
- Strong oral comprehension skills, with the ability to understand spoken instructions and information.
- Competent in operating cordless hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Preferred ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Capable of reading a standard tape measure.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 75 lbs; frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs.
- Finger Dexterity: Precise coordination for handling small objects.
- Manual Dexterity: Swift and accurate hand movements for assembling tasks.
- Arm-Hand Steadiness: Maintain a steady hand while working with precision.
- Vision: Ability to discern details at close range, including differentiating wire colors.
