Nesco Resource has partnered with a growing company wanting to add a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to its growing team in Somerset,KY
The essential functions will be the following::
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the departments processes as necessary.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. (Identify opportunities for improvement, develop and implement solutions, manage new projects and upgrades/improvements, demonstrate tangible/measurable results in professional format).
- Analyze & plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, & design layout of equipment & workspace for maximum efficiency.
- May confer with vendor to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts.
- Confer with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes.
- Demonstrate a hands-on ability to solve department problems (take initiative to become resident expert on production equipment, both mechanical and electrical).
- Identify potential quality problems from drawings and/or be able to work with design for problems that develop in production.
**Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above to accomplish Company Goals & Objectives.
Job Qualifications :
- Knowledge of product design.
- Knowledge of materials and parts fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of tooling and production equipment capabilities. (Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and assist/oversee repairs/improvements to production equipment).
- Proficient personal computer and software skills (Programming capabilities to include but not limited to PLC's, HMI's, Sensors, Controllers, Drives, etc).
Must have High School Diploma or GED Certificate, and a minimum of two years' experience in a relevant position; must be able to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
