Metal Fabricator
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for each project.
- Select appropriate metals and materials based on project specifications.
- Measure and cut metal pieces using shears, saws, or cutting torches, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Shape metal pieces using bending machines, presses, or hammers.
- Weld, braze, or solder metal components together to assemble products or structures.
- Grind, sand, and polish finished products to achieve a desired surface finish.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Experience with metal fabrication required.
- Experience operating press brake, shear, or drill press is preferred.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Exposure to blueprints and shop drawings is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
