Forklift Oprerator

Nesco Resource, in partnership with a prominent client in the Nichols NY area, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their team.

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Forklift Operator with experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Safety is our top priority, and we need someone who shares our commitment to maintaining a safe workplace while efficiently moving materials throughout thewarehouse and production floor.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the warehouse and production floor.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines.
• Perform routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping aisles clear and storage areas organized.
• Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure timely fulfillment of production orders.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Experience operating other types of material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or reach trucks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Steel toed shoes are required

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Generally works in a packaging/warehouse or plant environment.
• Warehouse forklift traffic.
• Production noise level is frequently loud.
